Great hiking today, nice views, good weather. Made 11.5 miles by 1:00 but stopped for the day at Low Gap shelter, still wanting to pace myself this early on.
I lightened my pack weight by sending my bear canister home. So now I'll have to get crafty at hanging my food but it's worth it to have a lighter pack.
Had tortillas and sardines for lunch which was nasty tasty. I shall develop a penchant for those nasty little fishies.
