A long day. My longest on the AT so far. A strenuous day, too; about 4500 ft in elevation change.
Nice scenery, the usual mountains and valleys. I never get tired of these views. At one point today I ran out of water three miles before the next water source. When I got to the spring I drank about 8 gallons.
Looking forward to being in Shenandoah National Park in a few days.
Staying at The Priest shelter.
