Woke up and saw the sunrise from Pulpit Rock where I camped. One of the nicest mornings I've had on the trail.
Put in some good miles today. Weather was better than yesterday and I had plenty of water all day. Terrain was pretty rocky at times but nothing too severe.
The little black flies that look like big gnats are becoming an issue. They swarm all over your face and they don't respond to deet. We'll see how I handle them, perhaps a head-mounted bug zapper?
